Frost Science Museum
Simplifying the complexity of science
The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science digital and in museum experience was failing to keep pace with their growth in content and their physical space. They needed a fresh design to reflect the new more modern museum. They required ways to enhance and supplement the museum experience, provide support for Florida's large non-native speakers, to facilitate user donations and volunteer opportunities and most of all to simplify the robust ticket purchasing process.

The museum needed a new way to manage its growing collection of exhibitions and activities. This system needed to be extremely flexible to accommodate a wide variety of content that could be shared and reused when necessary. We designed a highly modular system that consisted of sections that could be customized and used anywhere in the site making landing and detailed pages easy to build and maintain.
The new responsive website and mobile application are able to meet the needs of all the departments within the museum. This includes main exhibitions, the aquarium exhibits, seasonal events, various partnerships and so much more.

The mobile application will share the same content as the website, but be enhanced to compliment the in-museum experience. Accessing beacons found in various exhibits throughout the museum the app can serve up additional content to the user. This includes video, audio clips and even a way to act as hotspots for themed scavenger hunts.
